Describe your organization in a few sentences. Why were you founded? What do you contribute to the world? And what is your ambition? This helps journalists discover your ‘why’. This lays a nice foundation on which the rest of your press kit builds.
Also include relevant facts and figures. How long have you been around? Where are you active? And what kind of turnover do you make? A smart selection of relevant data gives the journalist quick insight into where your organization stands and thus helps to interpret the rest of the press kit. If your organization publishes an annual report , you will of course include it.
